(More customer reviews)Bought this from Amazon about 5 months ago to keep my Blackberry 8800 charged in my car. This product when used with my original Blackberry USB charger was about 1/3 the cost of a dedicated Blackberry car charger.
Pros:
1. Small and thin - this unit is smaller than the "traditional" USB power adapters that cost $2-$3 like this one from Eforcity. Size was important given the limited space I have available.
2. Angled USB Port - again, unlike other traditional models, the Kensington is angled so access to the USB port is easier.
3. Excellent power delivery - fully charges my Blackberry in 30 minutes while it's in use and connected to my car's bluetooth handsfree system. Even fully charged my 5G iPod in about an hour while it was playing through an AUX port (not recommended though due to the constant whine as another reviewed pointed out). An old adapter I'd used previously didn't have enough power to both charge and use my phone yet alone an iPod.
Cons:
1. Price - obviously not the cheapest option.
2. Blinding blue LED - with the angle, the blue power LED is bright, super bright actually. Not a big issue during the day, but it can be distracting at night. A small piece of black electricians tape or similar material works fine except if you experience Con #3...
3. Loose contact with car's power receptacle - probably more symptomatic of my car than the adapter, but it doesn't always make a tight fit. I've tried adjusting the contacts but couldn't make enough of a difference to help. Spinning it to a different location usually works but the only way I can tell for certain is from the unholy blue LED power light.
Was it worth $13? For me, yes; but I'd have given it 5 stars if the cost was closer to $8.

(More customer reviews)I received a Hitachi DZ-BX35A camcorder as a gift but it didn't have a battery charger. I was kind of leery of ordering this battery charger because of the cheap price tag, no reviews, and the "one-size-fits-all" style of the product but once I got it I was not disappointed.
The unit charges in 2 pieces. The first one is the cord you decide to use such as the car and wall adapter and the second is the charger itself which houses the battery. The car and wall adapter both have a red LED light built in and they light up to show they are connected. The charger also has an LED light that turns red when charging a battery. When fully charged, the LED turns to green. There is also a European plug adapter included but there are none of those around here in Kansas so I didn't get to test it out. If that sounded a tad too complicated, it's as easy as: 1. Connect the cord to an outlet. 2. Connect the cord to the charger. 3. Put your battery in and charge.
Included was also a screen protector. You have to cut it out to the size of the screen but this is made easier because there is a grid on the screen that assists you and is removable. Be sure to not expose the sticky side until just before you install it because it's like a magnet to lint and even one single lint piece can cause a bubble to appear on your screen protector.
Shipping was quick and there wasn't any problems.
Bottom line: I recommend this product. This product charges the battery and also came with a screen protector. An excellent deal for under $20 USD.

(And as new devices are released, Gomadic makes tips for them, which you can buy for a nominal fee from their website.) Not only will this charging station clear up the mess and tangle of cords, but it means you don't waste energy by leaving half a dozen chargers plugged in that are sucking electricity, like vampires, even when they're not charging their respective devices or plugging-and-unplugged every charger for every device every time you charge. This station cleans up your space, brings order to your charging mess and reduces energy waste!
And in general, Gomadic makes excellent quality devices of ingenious design! Their order-handling and shipping is prompt. Among multiple orders I've placed from them, on the rare occasion that there was a problem, their online support moved very rapidly to do everything they could to make it right; their sole focus was satisfying me as a customer (w/ no scapegoating, excuses or concern for the expense to them).
The only weakness of this product is that, once you've got one at home, you're going to want one for your desk at work too.

(More customer reviews)I have been using this on the road for a few months, in conjunction with the optional "phone tip charger" adapter (273-1787), and have used it to power both an older Sony and Dell laptop with the included tips, and also two phones and a PDA with the adapter above. Very nice that it runs from AC or DC. Bright blue LED actually also worked as a night light for 3 year old daughter in a hotel as well! Cary bag (included) is big enough for all the tips, with enough room for all stuff, including the adapter above.
Only notes - at 70W, this will not be powerful enough to charge some newer laptops, need a higher power one.
Also, make sure to keep the reference card in the case with the list of which plugs go for which laptops.

(More customer reviews)If you have more than one rechargeable device -- cell phone, GPS, PDA -- the iGo is nearly a must-have. This thing replaced a console tray full of car chargers for various devices plus a charging station full of "wall-wart" chargers inside. Now a little bundle of iGo items takes care of it all.
To use it, you pull out the cord from the retractable spool (pulling on both ends, or it'll jam), plugging one end into the charger (car outlet or home), and the other end into a tip that matches the device. Then, plug the tip into the device, and let the charging begin.
Even though this particular item's description says it's for the iPod, it doesn't come with any tips. It's just the core home and car chargers and cable. To find the tips you need, visit http://www.igo.com and use the selector. The splitter that lets you charge two devices simultaneously is a nice add-on also.
Downsides to the iGo? Only two. The first is a nit: namely, you feel a bit MacGyver-ish assembling the thing into the configuration you need. The second is that the included "case" is a complete waste of time. It's barely big enough, and it wants to "squirt" the contents out the top. You'll need to find a cheap case somewhere else. (iGo, are you listening?)
Still, this thing is a really nice way to have all the chargers you need for travel and home use without the big pile of wires.

(More customer reviews)I use this to recharge my ipod while I am on an airplane. I watch movies on my ipod and the power always drains down before we land. This works like a charm - I plug in my ipod towards the end of one movie, and it fully recharges before the end of the movie, while I am still watching my Ipod. I use the charger that requires 2 AA batteries. I have heard the one that does not use batteries is not the one to get, that you want the batteries. I have flown for 2 months since getting this, and have not had to change the batteries yet.
The only con for this product is that the charger light is this annoying bright blue light. Its placed so that when I am charging my Ipod, the blue light has to face me. I put things over the charger to not have to see that light.

Charges the Kindle quickly (although this is more a property of the Kindle itself)
It's white - this helps to differentiate it from the brazillions of other charging devices cluttering my life.
Cons -
Metal pin is fragile - don't put too much force on the connection pin to the Kindle. It's easy to snap off and not as easy to repair. Hence - me writing this review of a replacement charger in the first place...
Summary -
It's a no frills charger, and it does ithe job well.
