(More customer reviews)These are and do exactly what you expect. There's one thing that you might want to know before you buy. The image appears to show a heavy rubber cord jacket like you find on most computer power cables. In fact, these use a fairly thin rubber sleeve that encases the power wires. Thin enough you can see and "squish" the individual wires between your fingers. This isn't a problem for me - I built a cabinet for all my multimedia gear and once things are plugged in, they won't be moved until a device breaks. If you plan to use these in a situation that will see more activity, or if you're going to move them around - the thin sheathing on the cable might pucker or tear. It will probably take some abuse before that happens and most people who take issue with the cord will do so on aesthetic grounds. To me, and for the price ...the quality is just fine. I took away one star for the thin covers - someone else might take away four. Your mileage may vary.
