(More customer reviews)Do not buy. This is a no name adapter, despite the misleading advertising picture. I've bought a genuine dell adapter exactly the same for the same price. Is missing the built in rubber cable organizer. Sleazy adapter sticker, and "Made in china" instead of "Made in China". The adapter comes with a holographic, misleading "genuine" type of sticker.

(More customer reviews)This replacement adapter worked fine for about three (3) months, then it started smoking and melted. I sent feedback to the seller, letting them know that I'd only had the product for three months, and received feedback from them..."Sorry, you've had the product for over three months." So I guess that means no remedy for the situation, which is kind of funny because I looked at their seller profile and saw that others had problems with the product, including cord issues, and the seller's response to them was that the product had a one-year warranty. Supposedly, some even received replacements...
I guess it was good while it lasted and I got my $20 worth out of the product, but I won't be buying from this seller again.

AC Power Adapter/Charger for Dell XPS M1530 Review

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these adapters, thinking for the price, I could keep one at the office and one at home. Well, when I received the box the first red flag occured in that I noticed it was super light to have two adapters inside, and when I pulled it out of the box I noticed these were definitely lighter and appeared more cheaply made then my original. However,I thought as long as it did the job, I was fine with a lighter adapter. My second red flag was that I noticed it only came as a two-pronged adapter plug, where my original Dell adapter had three-prongs.
So I plugged it in, hit the power button, then a loud beep occured during boot-up saying that my "Dell XPS M1530 could not detect the wattage and it needs a minimal 65watt adapter, and that my laptop battery probably would not charge and that I should use a Dell adapter". So I continued to boot up and noticed that while it ran the laptop, it wouldn't charge the battery. I tried charging with the laptop shut down, but it didn't work. I also tried the second adapter and found the exact same thing.
Anyway, I'm sending it back for a refund. Don't waste your time with this. It's title is deceiving in that it says its a replacement for a Dell XPS M1530, but I can tell you it NOT.

(More customer reviews)This purchase taught me one thing and one thing only: An AC Adapter and a CHARGER are (apparently) two totally different things, even though they look EXACTLY the same and even have the same model numbers written all over them.
This does not charge my laptop. It apparently doesn't charge ANYONE's laptops. I have an Inspiron 1525. This adaptor does keep my laptop on, but it does not charge the battery. Well, what's the point, then? Why would i want to leave my battery stuck at 35% all day? Waste of money, unless you hate your battery for some reason.
That said, the company who sold me this actually offered to refund my money, which was very nice of them. I declined, and i just keep the adapter around just in case i might need to keep my laptop on and i don't feel like charging either of my batteries (which is, by the way, stupid).UPDATE: Someone commented on my review that this product's description never says that it's a charger. Fair enough. It also doesn't say that it's NOT a charger, which is misleading. And if you're like most people, when you need to replace your CHARGER, you will likely read the model number from your existing charger, and type it into the search bar. This "AC Adapter" will come up on the list because it has the same model number. Defend the company all you want...this is meant to mislead customers and increase sales.
By the way, the SAME commenter (in a moment of utter brilliance) also said that there must be something wrong with my battery, since this Adapter doesn't charge it. Wait...i thought you said it wasn't a charger. Make up your mind son!

I plugged it into my Dell Inspiron laptop, and all it would do is maintain the current low state of charge - the battery did not gain any charge even though it was plugged in overnight.
