(More customer reviews)I bought this kit as it gave me an extra AC adaptor brick and a sync cable as well as letting me charge my iPhone 3G in the car.
In terms of charging, everything works as advertised. The 1000mA AC Adaptor and 500mA car adaptor lets me charge more than use my iPhone; I was able to charge a Microsoft Zune Media player and a AT&T Fuze mobile phone. Definitely good value if you ask me.
From what I read the car adaptor's output isn't enough to charge the iPhone when it's being used. Being an engineer I can understand that from the specs, however my phone charged up while I played music. Note I had 3G on, wifi & bluetooth off.
The one big minus for me is that the included sync cable will not allow me to sync my iPhone to my PC. When I plug in the cable my Vista x64 computer said I plugged in an unknown usb device. I've tried uninstalling and installing drivers to no end. I guess the only good thing that it does let me charge up the phone. Hopefully this cable doesn't damage my device.
**Please note that even though I have an iPhone 3G and the title of the product states for iPod and iPhone 1G, the Griffin website says this works with 3G iPhones.
Overall good bit of kit for the money. I just wished the sync cable will sync instead of just charging.
