(More customer reviews)I accidentally overloaded and fried the AC adapter for my GPS and bought this as a replacement. It works OK but I've found that if I have left the GPS screen on the highest light setting (after use in a vehicle) that the GPS wont power up (but it works fine with lower light settings). I assume that this effect is some protective mechanism in the GPS that wont allow it to boot up if there is too little amperage available from the power source. I'm sure it will work fine for a cell phone/PDA or other low power electronics though.
