(More customer reviews)I bought this adapter at Best Buy, the Targus APA68 90W and expected it to behave like any normal power adapter...basically function.
After having the new adapter plugged in for twenty minutes my screen began to go dim and bright and my speakers would buzz. I quickly unplugged the adapter and it stopped. I let it cool down, tried one more time and this time it was about 10-15 minutes...my computer only charged to 28% during both attempts while the adapter was scolding hot. I would be afraid to leave this plugged in at home, it seems a fire hazard and it also seems as though it is possibly damaging to the PC.
I have an Asus G72GX and according to Targus customer care and Google my laptop uses the L106 adapter. Well...I'm about to go get another. I guess that is why this one was $39.99 and the others were $70+.
