(More customer reviews)I purchased this adapter through Geeks and checked out through Amazon. I checked out many of these products on-line with their reviews. There are many cheap ones with bad reviews. For $22.99 I thought this would be a better one. However it burned out on my first charge with it. The metal housing was too hot to touch and I could smell it burning. I unplugged it and let it cool. I plugged it back in after an hour and it would not light up any lights. My laptop would not boot back up. Hopefully, even though I set it to the proper voltage for my HP notebook, I did not ruin my notebook. Luckily, I was home as this defective piece of .... may have burned down my house. As many of other reviewers have complained about these Chinese AC/DC adapters I have had the same problem now. Unfortunately, these components obviously do not have to meet safety requirements in China as our products do. I am going to call Geeks after I submit this review. If I get stiffed for returned shipping I will let everyone know. Save your computer and house and DO NOT buy this product.
