I bought this adapter to replace a Chinese made adapter. While traveling I had bumped the voltage select slider, increasing the voltage from 20V to 22V. That let the magic smoke out of the adapter and the laptop. Ouch! That can't happen with the Kensington.
This adapter's voltage selection is built in to the tip. So there's no slider to bump. I like that. The down side is that the adapter doesn't come with the adapter; you have to call Kensington.
