(More customer reviews)I have Vista 64 installed on my computer and this SATA controller card is fully compatible. You have a choice of a couple drivers on the enclosed disk for Vista. It also has many other drivers for other operating systems. It also provides for a RAID configuration, but I just wanted a simple expansion of my SATA ports. I have three SATA hard drives and a SATA LG GGW-H20L Super Multi Blue - Blu-ray Disc Burner in my system. Everything worked beautifully from the beginning - what a joy not to struggle on an install. (I bought a different SATA card here on Amazon before this one and I just threw that one in the trash it was so bad.)
Update: When you are transferring data from one disk to another disk connected to this controller card, the data transfer speed is really, really slow. But if you are transferring from a disk connected to this controller card to another disk connected to the motherboard, the speed is fast. So I'm not so pleased with this card anymore.
