(More customer reviews)I bought my PA3290U-3ACAR from Amazon.com for around $70. The PA3290U-3ACAR is the same as the PA3290U-3ACA; the "R" at the end means that it is ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive) compliant. Both models have the same compatibility device chart. I have a Toshiba A305 laptop and both adapters are compatible with it. I've been using the adapter for about two weeks and it has been working great. I've read user reviews of Toshiba AC adapters shorting out/falling apart over time; hopefully this will not happen to me. I'm happy with my purchase because I was able to purchase a genuine Toshiba product for $40 less than what Toshiba is selling it for.
