(More customer reviews)This is a very expensive product if you buy it at the store, as I did. But if your regular power supply isn't working for your laptop, as mine quit doing for my Toshiba (and long ago started acting up with my Dell), this power supply will work. You have to follow the instructions in the booklet provided, though--this is not a plug-and-play power adapter, which at first led me to believe I had wasted $100. But on the back of the product, it says it works with Dell, Toshiba, Sony, HP, Compaq, Lenovo, Fujitsu, Gateway, etc, and I had found two adapters in the package that fit both my Toshiba and Dell (there are many different sizes included). I didn't understand why the supply wouldn't work with either of my laptops.
After reading the booklet, I saw that you have to either have your laptop in standby/hibernate/sleep or turned off before you hook up the power supply, and then your laptop will recognize it. Once I put both laptops on standby mode and then plugged in the power supply, both laptop batteries started charging and recognizing the power supply. The power supply fits great, does not fall out and feels pretty strong. You do not need to go through the standby/turn off process after the first time, either--if you unplug the supply from your laptop, it will be recognized the next time you plug it back in.
Despite the store price, I'm pretty happy with this. Just see if you can find it cheaper online.
